i’m not one to advocate those little “fansigns” people get from their various visitors, but this time, i got one from james who is the coolest dude, so i’ll post it here.

but really, i don’t understand the whole fansign concept. sure, it’s nice when they come from people you actually like talking to. but now i’ve been seeing sites where it’s all about the damn fansigns and plugs; all i read is “please send me fansigns at this email address!” or “please plug my website and i’ll do the same!” i don’t know about the rest of the internet-world, but i would not want anyone just sending me that sh!t. it would be so meaningless to me.

yeah, i know i’m such a stick in the mud, but i honestly shudder when i see dozens of fansigns from miscellaneous people splashed all over a website. it would be different if they were from ALL friends, but that really isn’t the case in most sites that i have seen.
