as the last week of summer vacation draws to a close, i can’t help but feel that i’ve squandered these past four months before my second year at ubc. i spent ungodly amounts of money and have absolutely nothing to show for it. i went clubbing more times than i would have liked, drank alcohol more times that i would have predicted, and had as little fun as possible throughout all. (i don’t mean to be a party-pooper; i’m just a stay-at-home type of gal.)

i only started working during the last month or so of my vacation, raking in half of what i wanted to earn this summer in order to pay for next year’s tuition. looking back on my posts from the beginning of summer, i can honestly say that i was a bum, a full-fledged lazy-ass turd on a stick. but after finally scoring that job at cathay pacific i learned to wake up earlier and earlier, eat at regular times of the day, and do my share of chores around the house with a decent amount of motivation. how’s that for a supposed former sloth?

and if there’s one thing i can take away from this summer and be happy about, it would be alan. i guess it wasn’t all a waste.
