i only recently obtained my own credit card, which is probably one of the greatest inventions of mankind. right up there with the blow-dryer, the hand-held game system, and the internet. i can now purchase items i would usually never get, guilt-free for at least a month until the bill comes. and then i can pay it off easily using my online chequing account. so, credit cards and the internet can go hand in hand as the greatest inventions of mankind. forget the wheel.
but, lately, i’ve been going a little haywire with my credit card. i’ve been treating people to dinners, buying superfluous accessories for myself and others, and purchasing many, many, dvds. i’ve become a hardcore capitalist in just the short amount of time i’ve had my new card. signing my signature has become a routine task at sales counters when i was so used to staring at a debit screen saying “insufficient funds”.
i really need to control this spending of mine. i’m excusing it mostly because of the holiday spirit of the market economy. when the break is over (which i’m trying not to think out) it’s bye-bye credit card for me. honestly.
side note: a review of shattered is up at dullsville.
