i’ve been neglecting this site for reasons threefold:

• i’ve been so frickin’ immersed in school work, it’s not even funny. well, if you think french compositions and history papers galore are humourous, then perhaps it is even funny (you big sicko!). this last month of school and final exams is going to be like chinese water torture for me (whatever the hell that is; i just read about it every now and then, and i’m assuming it’s quite painful).
• i’ve been trying to finish the amazing adventures of kavalier & clay, a book that isn’t part of my class curriculum that i’m really enjoying. i like the whole 1930s context and the comic book theme. there are so many books i want to start reading this summer, but first i need to get through the rest of my class readings (which i undoubtedly won’t).
• my sister just provided me with seasons three and four of the sopranos on dvd. i am completely in love with this show! and, since i don’t have hbo at my disposal here, i am in constant reliance of dvds to keep me thoroughly entertained while school eats away at the rest of my brain.
