i’ve seen harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban twice now and it’s become more obvious to me that during the courtyard scene, where ron and hermione are bickering about scabbers and crookshanks, harry keeps staring at an asian girl sitting at the fountain. he tosses her an awkward smile and continues looking back at her as ron, hermione, and he are leaving the courtyard. the girl actually looks more filipino than chinese to me and i know they hadn’t chosen a cho chang at that point in filming, but i think it’s foreshadowing harry’s crush on the asian girl in the fourth film. my heart’s all aflutter!
