it’s one week into the new school term, and i have yet to do a minute of honest-to-goodness studying. no, scribbling your assignment due-dates in your sophisticated, leather-bound agenda doesn’t count, unless you actually complete the said tasks. uncoiling and recoiling your spiral notebook to add more lined paper for five subjects also does not equal real work. looking up the course textbooks on library websites so that you don’t have to buy them at insane prices at the bookstore fits into the same category. showing up to class and not bothering to take notes because they seem really, really obvious is — you guessed it — not studying.

forgetting to pay your tuition on time because you’ve been “too busy studying” is just plain idiotic.
